For our inaugural event, A.N.A.S.A. has selected three beautiful and talented young women to feature their creations at FASHION PHOENIX 2009.

Meranda Francis

Meranda is an RH King alumnus, who discovered her passion for fashion at the tender age of six. By 13, she had transitioned from dressing her Barbie dolls to creating her very own designs. Now 22, Meranda's love for colour and patterns has fused with her creative intuition to bring forth a collection of bright colours and soft drappable fabrics. Her designs are for the dynamic woman who exudes confidence through her inner diva and her theme is named definitely showcases her love for bold color and design. There was no better name that could define her collection besides "Diva".

She cites her favorite fashimerandaon mavericks as Beyonce and Nicole Richie. While she's not shy about taking risks, Meranda leans more to the classic designs: "I like to take classic designs and put my own personality into it." Her line "Diva" definitely showcases her love for bold color and design, for the "divas" at heart.

Monique Marianchuk

A self-professed conservative, Monique Marianchuk recently discovered her keen eye for colour, contrast and design. The dynamic designer would like to specialize in vintage or conservative clothing. Monique's line uses classic black with "touch of colour" for some contrast with stretchy linen textures. These designs are for women on the go who take pride in what they wear. When asked what sparked her desire to be a designer, she proudly says "my mother", a seamstress was her source of inspiration.

Natisha Grineage

"Natisha Grineage rounds out this 'talented trio' as the youngest of the bunch. At 14, Natisha understands that to know where you're going, you must know where you came from. Natisha draws on her eclectic Guyanese heritage for inspiration. Natisha has only been designing for four-and-a-half years, but her raw talent shows promise as she is not afraid to lend herself to new experiences through design and fashion. Her line is entitled "Vivid" inspired that fuses bright, vivid colours with eclectic designs. When asked about her favourite designer, this outgoing fashionista gave this unique insight. "I really do not have any favorite designers because every designer has an image of their clothing that no one will ever have [because] it's beautiful to them. Truthfully I try to see the beauty within a designer's line."
