Fashion Phoenix 2009

The A.N.A.S.A. Collective presents Fashion Phoenix 2009 premiering March 14, 2009. The time and location is 6:00-9:30pm at the Scarborough Civic Centre; 150 Borough Drive, Scarborough. The affair will feature the original designs of three (3) young fashion designers ages 15-24, residing in the underserved communities of Scarborough.

Fashion Phoenix 2009 has three objectives:
  • To provide a space that will expose the talents of youth leaders from the under-served regions of Scarborough.
  • To give access to education and income-generating opportunities for the activities young women genuinely want to pursue.
  • To bring a professional fashion event to the city of Scarborough and assist in changing the perception of the city and its people.
Fashion Phoenix will hosted by the talented hosts of Guavaleaftv.com, Danielle Williams and Joe Louis. There will be must see live performances by the dynamic rapper/singer Joe Louis (the man who brought you the hit "Eyebrow Pop"), and the critically acclaimed vocalist Kim Davis who brought you the radio hit "Valentine 4 Life". The talent that will be showcased will definitely make this an event you will not want to miss.

We are requesting a donation of $15 at the event to help ensure the success of "Project Phoenix". Fashion Phoenix is not only a night that is guaranteed to entertain, uplift and inspire. It is also a night where you are given an opportunity to make a difference in our community by providing your support.
